How to resize your HDD after upgrade

Disable Swap

[[email protected] ~]# cat /proc/swaps
Filename Type Size Used Priority
/dev/vda2 partition 1048572 0 -2

[[email protected] ~]# swapoff -a

[[email protected] ~]# cat /proc/swaps
Filename Type Size Used Priority

Remove any references found in fstab (Add a hashtag in front of /dev/vda2)

Reboot

vi /etc/fstab

#
# /etc/fstab
# Created by anaconda on Mon Jan 8 06:13:00 2018
#
# Accessible filesystems, by reference, are maintained under '/dev/disk'
# See man pages fstab(5), findfs(8), mount(8) and/or blkid(8) for more info
#
/dev/vda1 / ext4 defaults 1 1
#/dev/vda2 swap swap defaults 0 0

[[email protected] ~]# reboot

Delete the swap and main partition.

Then repartition whole drive.

Reboot

[[email protected] ~]# fdisk -l
